Meet Sr. Romero
¡Bienvenidos!
I am a native speaker of Cuban (father) and Puerto Rican (mother) decent. I am a proud Cuba-rican. I majored in Spanish at Georgia College & State University. Go BOBCATS! I also spent time studying abroad in Spain at the University of Valencia. I also earned my Masters in teaching with a concentration in Spanish from Georgia College & State University. Prior to Alpharetta High School, I spent 3 years at North Cobb High School. In 2018 I completed Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction.
This is year #9 here at RAIDER NATION. I teach Spanish 2 Honors & 4. I am the Department Chair for World Languages and Assistant Athletic Director. I am also the head coach for the boys varsity soccer team here at Alpharetta.
I am passionate about what I do. I have been fortunate to travel to many Spanish speaking countries and I bring those experiences to the classroom as much as possible. I enjoy sharing the culture, art, music, and food of the Spanish speaking world with my students.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family. We have two boys Luca (5) and Brody (2)! We love to travel, try new restaurants, and spend time with our crazy dog Murphy. I also love soccer. I love going to Atlanta United games! I am a proud FC Barcelona fan! ¡Visça Barça!
Go Raiders!
